The kind and courageous people of Mexico are ever welcoming and offer unmatched hospitality when you visit their country. Not too long ago, Tulum was a sleepy beach town inhabitant by a few hundred Mexican families. Unfortunately, many foreigners in Tulum are completely excluding the local Mexican community from Tulum’s new found wealth – causing a very obvious and problematic class divide.

As the world’s elite continue to arrive, prices in the area are consistently increasing; however, wages are not. Some people are even making as little as $5 dollars per day, leading to a steady rise in crime.
